Refuge
24th November 2024
REFUGE, by Indian pianist Aman Mahajan, is a contemplative set of compositions that invites listeners into a world of inner reflection. Exploring an ever-evolving sense of ‘home’, these pieces delve into universal emotions through personal storytelling, presenting musical narratives that resonate on a deeply human level.
The current avatar of the group features Aman Mahajan on piano, Apoorva Krishna on violin, Dhani Muniz on fretless bass, and Rohit PS on drumset. Together, the musicians explore sonic, emotional, and philosophical landscapes, through pieces like The Ten Thousand Questions, Where Is It?, Sitaphalmandi, and Leifmotif.
Each composition reflects a facet of Mahajan's journey, inviting the audience to pause, listen, and perhaps find reflections of their own experiences within these shared musical spaces.
